Blue: Harmony

This quilt is a celebration of the colour blue from the Gilbert Baker Pride flag - he intended the colour to represent harmony. The design features nine "wonky pineapple" blocks, each made up of many familiar parts and all working together as one in harmony to make a giant star. My idea with using a queer version of these familiar blocks is to symbolize the idea that we are all made up of essentially the same pieces, with each in our own distinct way coming together to create a harmonious and unified whole. The back of the quilt is hand dyed fabric from Bex and Luke.
