Recreating a sign from history: this is a life-size quilted recreation of a protest sign from the historic 'We Demand' protest of 1971. This demonstration - Canada's first major 2SLGBTQ+ rights rally - saw brave folks from across the nation converging in Ottawa and Vancouver. This simple equation – Gay = Love – was radical then and somehow still is now.
