Colours of Pride

The Progress Pride series translates each colour of Gilbert Baker's original 1978 flag and the Progress Pride Flag into wearable textile activism.

Each piece carries specific meaning: red for life and AIDS remembrance, orange for healing, yellow for sunlight and visibility, green for nature, blue for harmony, purple for spirit, plus the lost colours of hot pink (sexuality) and turquoise (art/magic) that vanished from the flag due to fabric scarcity.

These are capes, stoles, ponchos, and wings meant to be worn, turning bodies into living galleries where queer history meets contemporary resistance.
